PAST…

Baboosic Lake Rowing Club was established in August 2013 with our very first learn-to-row program for masters and juniors. That fall, both the masters and junior programs trained and competed.

PRESENT…

The masters program is currently a social rowing program, rowing on their own schedule and not competing (at least not at the moment!). They generally scull.

The junior program competes in several regattas in both the fall and spring seasons, in both sweep and sculling. We have an excellent relationship with Souhegan High School and use their facilities for land-based training. We are an official club at the school, and are able to award Souhegan varsity letters. We also offer a free winter fitness session at the school during January and February.

We store 10 ergs at the high school, which are used by both the junior and masters programs.

We also run occasional middle school learn-to-row programs to give 7th and 8th graders a chance to experience the sport before attending Souhegan.

Future…

We continue to grow our youth and master programs and work towards improving our fleet.

Alumni…

We have had quite a few junior rowers continue rowing in college at schools such as WPI, UNH, UVM, Drexel University, Assumption College, UMass Lowell, Union College, University of St. Andrews, and The University of Edinburgh.
